Thanks to raid the compileation time of the linux-kernel decreased by
20% to 9min8sec.
Thats the overall performance increase, not only the hd-throughput.

System: Dual PentiumMMX 200MHz, 64MB RAM, Raid0 on 2 IBM 4.1GByte SCSI
HDs, Adaptec 2940UW on Board, Kernel 2.1.81

Does anyone else have data like this for comparison?
