ok i have a question, We have 2 servers ( vs1 and vs2 ) currently
running a change rooted file system, vr1 - vr9 split over 2 scsi
devices, these servers host web space for vituaul accounts. could it be
possible for us to take the server i/o load off these machines by
implementing a single multi-device raid server with a dual-disk
configuration inside it for each server. ie. server1 ( vs1 ) carries 100
ips, there fore 100 virtual hosts, in the change rooted file system....
with 2 scsi devices sd0 is vr1-vr5, and sd1 is vr5-vr9, disk i/o because
of httpd requests is loading these machines. can we take 1 raid server
say raid1: create /dev/sd0 and dev/sd1 = /dev/md0 for vs1, also create
/dev/sd3 and /dev/sd4 = /dev/md1, then maybe NFS out the /dev/md?
devices to each server... there for incorporating all our real data on a
single server for back-ups and mirroring and lessoning the i/o load
across the board for our virtual hosts??? I hope you understand the
concept here. and maybe some input on other options, just so i am not
barking up the wrong tree.

ALL and ANY Input is welcome to resolv this i/o problem.....
