.xpi usually implies firefox's plugin format.

Subject: Re: Question on DRAC...

Hello everyone,

I want to connect to DRAC 5 (PE2900) from my computer - (OpenSUSE with
Firefox 2.0.0.2). Problem is with open the terminal console or connect
virtual media. FF want to install plug-in vkvm.xpi . I know that is
ActiveX from MS and FF doesn't support this plug-in. But I need to
manage this server remotely from this comp. Do you know anybody how can
I use Linux, FF and fully accessible DRAC 5 together? :)
Thanks a lot for any idea

Vladimir H.

The new DRAC cards provide either virtual IDE or virtual USB devices
(depending on drac version). No need for OS drivers.
