The java doesn't work because the embedded code in the era/dracIII is
blowing out a cab file and java in linux browsers have no clue what to do
with a cab file. Did a debug while connecting and saw that and then it all
made sense. The vnc is wrapped in ssl and other things and will keep you
from using the vncclient due to security issues as vnc has no security at
all unless you tunnel it thru ssh which is quite easy.

Subject: DRAC console redirection based on VNC?

Hi Dell people,

in a product presentation a Dell representative told us that the DRAC
console redirection protocol is based on VNC. Is that true? Is it possible
to use an VNC client to connect to a DRAC card? Why does the java
applet not work with mozilla on Linux?

Yours
  T. Uhl
