Subject: [Linux-NTFS-User] Is the "attr" package needed at runtime or only

To build ntfs-3g, the attr package is needed (the one that provides the
libattr.so library and attr/xattr.h header). However, after building,
is the library still needed?

In other words, is it a build-time only dependency or also a runtime
dependency? Because if I uninstall it (meaning that libattr.so* are
also gone), ntfs-3g keeps functioning correctly. Are the specific
features in ntfs-3g that will not function anymore without this library?
