Hi,

Sorry, I was away and didn't have time yet to answer your former ntfsresize
emails (afair, you also found the solution yourself which is in the manual
and at end of the ntfsresize output).

fdisk can also corrupt the partition table which results the behavior you
described. Though it doesn't happen so often as with parted.

I seriously suggest to investigate the partition table changes from byte to
byte and set exactly what Vista expects or which worked before

You can also safely reboot into Vista after ntfsresize, no need to do the
partitioning at the same time. If Vista boots then it's not ntfsresize
problem, if it doesn't then it's ntfsresize problem.

So far there were only positive feedbacks using ntfsresize with Vista (it
started to included a built-in ntfs resizer but it corrupts ntfs, so people
still use ntfsresize instead). If there were some problem with ntfsresize
on Vista then we should hear much more similar reports.
