at least it's weird for me :) I have 2.2.18pre25 on the gw/server box and
2.2.18 on the client box. NFS client and server options are compiled
into both kernels with nfsv3 options on.

the hassle I'm getting is that I cannot seem to mount the dreaded mount
points. the exportgs entry on the server is:

/ theirongiant.weebeastie.net(rw,async,wdelay,no_root_squash)

exportfs -va goes fine:

exporting theirongiant.weebeastie.net:/
reexporting theirongiant.weebeastie.net:/ to kernel

no errors.

but `strace mount -t nfs gw:/ /mnt/nessie` gives me this:

mount("gw:/", "/mnt/nessie", "nfs", 0xc0ed0000, 0x805a060) = -1 ENOSYS (Function not \
implemented) mount("gw:/", "/mnt/nessie", "nfs", 0xc0ed0000, 0x805a060) = -1 EINVAL \
(Invalid argument) rt_sigprocmask(SIG_UNBLOCK, ~[TRAP SEGV], NULL, 8) = 0
write(2, "mount: wrong fs type, bad option"..., 98mount: wrong fs type, bad option, \
bad superblock on gw:/, or too many mounted file systems
       ) = 98
stat("gw:/", 0xbffff5fc) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
_exit(32) = ?

what am I missing?
