Hi there,

I´ve found a strange error using knfs:

Server: Suse Linux 6.4 with 2.2.16 and Red Hat 6.2 with the latest patches
Client: Windows NT with OnNet NFS 5.0

Problem: To reproduce the error I´ve made a Excelsheet with a mocro which
adds a few lines to one sheet, saves the sheet and closes it afterwards.

Now, I´m running this sheet time after time with a batch under Windows and
look whats happening:

filer:/ # ls -l /export
total 20796
drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 1024 Jul 28 16:45 .
drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 421 Jul 28 16:10 ..
-rwxrwxr-x 1 ralf 50 8118272 Jul 28 16:44 1.xls
-rwxrwxr-x 1 olaf 50 7767040 Jul 28 16:44 2.xls
-rwxrwxr-x 1 ralf 50 346 Jul 26 16:25 b.bat
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 12288 Jul 28 16:24 lost+found
-rwxrwxr-x 1 ralf 50 5308416 Jul 26 15:22 xxxxx.xls
filer:/ # df -vk /export
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb2 496805 496805 0 100% /export
filer:/ # du -sk /export
20796 /export

As you see, although there are only 20 Megs of data on this filesystem,
all 500 Megs are used according to df -vk

I get this error with ext2fs and reiserFS. The reiserfsck utility dosn´t
find any errors on this filesystem, but using ext2fs I´ll get with
fsck.ext2 I´ll get hundreds of messages like

Deleted inode 15 has zero dtime. Fix<y>?

I´d assume this is a knfs-error, since reiserFS and extfs make the same
strange things.

Any ideas?

Thx in advance, Ralf Draeger.
