Subject: [NFS] A question on ports....

I'm trying to lock down my network a little bit more, and block ports to
things that really shouldn't be accessible from the outside world. My NFS
server is on an internal network, with non-routable IP's. However, my
front-end servers do have connections to the Internet, and doing
port-scans, I always come up with one accessible port - and doing
rpcinfo -p always shows that port associated with "status". However, the
port changes when the locking services are restarted, and are different on
the various front-end machines.
Having the port numbers jump around makes it tough to block access. Any
suggestions?
steve
