Subject: re-mounting 'fixed' disks

The problem: the second hard disk, connected to the mainboards second
HD connector, is in an exchange bay, or is an exchangeable media (Compact
Flash card) sitting in an appropriate adapter; it holds data (files) only
and has to be changed accordingly - and those disks/CF-cards have
different volumes.

The question: is there any means to change those second "fixed" disks
_without_ rebooting ?

Simple mount/umount/mount cannot work.
