Subject:    [linux-laptop] Obelix ./. MobiliX: Court Decision Delayed Until January 2003

In the trademark case between Obelix and MobiliX the court has
delayed the final decision until January 2003. The appelation
court in Munich (Germany) had proposed a decision for December
19th in the last hearing in November 2002. In the hearing the
court has said that both names Obelix (for the comic
character) and MobiliX (that's an acronym for Mobile and UniX)
can be confused with each other easily.  It's not clear
whether the decision of the court will stay long. The lawyers
JBB (http://jbb.de) of MobiliX will check a revision.  Werner
Heuser owner of MobiliX has offered an gentleman agreement to
put and end to the trouble. But the plaintiff has disagreed.
