I recently upgraded a RedHat 5.1 system from 2.0.34 to 2.0.35.
On boot, the SCSI driver gets to the point where it prints:
scsi0(0:-1:-1): Scanning channel for devices

Then it prints
scsi0(0:0:0) Parity error during phase Message-In.

After that, it begins attempting to reset the SCSI host and the SCSI bus
without success.

This exact same hardware worked fine with kernel 2.0.34. I have the machine
set up to dual boot with the earlier kernel and it comes up fine.

The Adaptec controller has a BIOS v1.22S
There are three devices: two Seagate drives and a CD-ROM (NEC I think.)
