: I recently have updated to kernel 2.1.66 on my ip masquerading
: firewall.. the masquerading howto is mainly for kernel 2.0.xx, I was
: using 2.0.32 previously with no problems. Now, everything works fine,
: but I no longer have ICMP support.. eg, i cannot ping or traceroute with
: machines on the local network.

For a long time the 2.1 kernels have been behind recent 2.0 kernels in
terms of IP Masquerading features. This is about to change. 150Kb of new
IP Masquerading patches have been merged in to the VGER CVS and these will
hopefully make it into a 2.1 kernel soon.
