Hi folks,

hopefully you are the right audience for this:

I am not sure what has happened between kernel 2.1.12 and 2.1.47, but
my machine (486, 16MByte RAM) spends much more time for swapping after
the upgrade. It is especially painfull when I access directories with a
large number of files. When I boot the old kernel it is as fast as
usual.

Is it possible to configure/optimize swapping? Have I missed to upgrade
something (except buying more memory or another CPU :-)?

If this is just a RTFM error, please send me a note.

Thanx very much for your help

Harri
