You find the solution at our Support-Database:

JavaWorkshop and S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3 from
  <http://www.suse.de/Support/sdb/jws_ldso.html> :
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    `Applies to'

    `S.u.S.E. Linux' : Version 5.3

  Symptom:

Java Workshop doesn't start correctly after an update to S.u.S.E.
5.3 and aborts with a core dump.

  Cause:

Together with S.u.S.E. Linux Version 5.3 comes a newer ld.so
    library than needed by Java.

  Solution:

There are two possibilities to use JavaWorkshop despite the
presence of the new library :

      - Install the package ldso.rpm of a former version of S.u.S.E.
        Linux.

      - Displace the file
        </usr/lib/java/lib/i686/green_threads/libdl.so.1> such that it
cannot be used anymore by Java.
