sorry, i make mistake with keyword 'table' in my e-mail before, actually i'm

I have table 'contoh' with coloumn/fieldtype text . When i make script with
PHP, i can't execute command 'ifx_prepare("select * from table
contoh",$connid,IFX_SCROLL);
error message is 
"Warning: Prepare fails (E [SQLSTATE=42 000 SQLCODE=-201])"
Someone can help me please ? or give me link url that contain example
php+informix
