Thats not too surprising.

Sun is more than just Solaris.
Sun is Java and Java has the power to eclipse Solaris.
(Bad pun but true ;-)

BTW, Consider the  possibility if Informix were to commit to Linux, 
without making a specific commitment to a port or a release date..... ;-)
