yes, I figured that out. the box I checked in from is ubuntu dapper,
which has only 0.7. available (and an open wishlist backport bug to
upgrade since month)...
sarge backports has 0.9.x available, though, so I'll just
have to pick the right box to do the mercurial actions on.
