This was a problem with sys/termio.h not being included.

It has subsequently been changed in CVS so that you should be OK.

The only problem I've been having on my Sparc 10's running Solaris 8 is the
longclock processing causes a core dump.

Well it is, but various perl scripts (including that one) point to
"/usr/local/bin/perl" instead of "/usr/bin/perl". 

This was fixed and progress had made up to the point the compilation is
failed for rcd_serial.c:

Where are those TIOCMXXX variables coming from?
