By definition we can't check them because we know nothing about them.

If your RA (which does know about them) does the checks while checking
the "main" resource - then thats a different story but completely
opaque to us.

yes.  in fact, you _must_ support the "monitor" operation.

the one actually called "monitor"
i think we also set a default value for the "check level", but its up
to you to decide if you want to make use of it
