Alan,

With heartbeat version 1 you can only have 2 servers. Heartbeat
version 2.0.7 you will be able to have multiple servers as well as
resource monitoring.

If you have a 2.0.X version you can just add "crm yes" to ha.cf. Then
just setup the /var/lib/heartbeat/crm/cib.xml file according to
http://linux-ha.org/ClusterResourceManager/DTD1.0/Annotated
