Just for reference for other one having the same problem.

Simple Solution: Make SURE you have "af_packet" loadded in your kernel or as a \
module.

#lsmod | grep af_packet

if not found, 

#modprobe af_packet

    Recently I am setting up 2 servers with (nearly) the same configuration. They are \
all setup with heartbeat 1.2.4-2. However one of the servers encounters the following \
libnet error while the other is perfectly OK.

root@node2:/etc/ha.d/resource.d# ./SendArp {IP}/eth-wan:2 start

/var/lib/heartbeat/rsctmp/send_arp/send_arp-{IP} eth-wan:2 {IP} auto {IP} \
ffffffffffff root@node2:/etc/ha.d/resource.d# send_arp: 2006/06/24_23:29:32 ERROR: \
libnet_init failure on eth-wan:2 2006/06/24_23:29:32 ERROR: Could not send gratuitous \
arps

* Where {IP} is a real external IP address.

The server can accuire the resource successfully, but cannot send out ARP packets to \
update the ARP cache.

System: Ubuntu 6.06 TLS

I have searched deeply with Googles but still cannot find anything useful, can anyone \
direct me to the sunshine? Thanks!
