I suppose this has something to do with symbol versioning, correct? So 
rpm has been extended to support that *feature* and I will have to
specify --nodeps as install option until I recompiled my glibc source
package, so that it provides that information.

Could someone confirm that stamement (A simple `yes'/`no' is ok)?
