Dear Sir,

I've successfully compiled egcs 2.91.57 on Linux 2.1.115 and GLIBC 2.0.95.
However, not everything is well done. All simple codes, like
	#include <stdio.h>
	main() { puts("Hello world."); }
are statically linked so that are huge in space. And trying adding
-shared in compilation, a larger binary is generated with segmentation
error in execusion.

BTW, the newly installed GLIBC 2.0.95 seems to be a bit unstable for some
reason(s) I never know. Old binaries can be executed properly, but newly
compiled expect 5.26.0 (compiled both with GLIBC 2.0.94 and .95) caused
segmentation fault.

There seems no hardware problems, 'cause all versions of GLIBC (2.0.6,
2.0.94) and egcs (1.0.2, 1.0.3) ran very well with all versions of Linux
kernel (most minor patches < 2.1.115). Binutils is 2.9.1.0.12.

I configured egcs 2.91.57 as
  ../configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --with-gnu-as --with-gnu-ld
  --enable-threads --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs
and `make bootstrap' was properly done.

Thanks for helping, and following is the output of config.guess file you
asked to be sent to you:
