Hi folks,

I have access to some DV kit which I would prefer to use under linux:

- Canon XM1 camera
- Pinnacle systems DV300 card

I would be very grateful if anyone could say whether: 

- successful use has already been reported, or
- this would be uncharted territory, but worth a go, or
- this is not currently possible for reasons xyz...

I would be interested in helping development of linux-firewire specific
to the above kit.
