A huge opportunity in the open-source mindshare space
has opened up for 2015. An important challenge for
Linux desktop user experience and for key crypto
infrastructure is outlined in the two groundbreaking
documents below.

Bug 731927 - Warning message when using gpg
  https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=731927

Issue1656: Warning message when using gpg

Clearly, there is a need for an event/media
opportunity to bring together the core developers for
these critical software components in order to enable
next-generation interoperability for the future.

If we start now, we might be able to get actor David
Herman to give the opening keynote.

Distributions have a role in this event as well.

  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1121447

Perhaps a GNOME/GnuPG Interoperability Summit could
be part of Linux Plumber's Conference, or LinuxCon?
UX and crypto are both hot, so it should be pretty
doable to round up travel sponsors for the relevant
experts. (I can volunteer to do some sponsor calling
and event wrangling, and draft a press release about
whatever the resolution is and why it means Open
Source Wins So Hard Everyone Else Can Go Home Now.)
