Subject:    Dropped packet problem solved!

I was having problems with diald 0.99.2 dropping ftp packets.
The same problems did not occur with ppp-on.
I compared the output of "ps -axww | grep pppd" to my ppp-on script
and noticed some major differences.
I added "asyncmap 20A0000" to my ppp-options and now ftp works again.

P. S. I've tried to locate the site I got diald from with no success.
I remember it was a .net site apparently located in Italy.
I think I got it off the mailing list.
Perhaps the owner will repost?
