Hi all.
I am having problems with diald.
Whenever it actually tries to bring up a connection, the second diald
process that is started dies, with a signal 11 error reported to the log.
Please see the log entry and the config files included here.
Here is the debug output:
Nov 24 16:06:01 redkite diald[366]: Trigger: udp 192.168.0.1/1025
194.42.224.130/53
Nov 24 16:06:01 redkite diald[366]: Calling site 192.168.0.2
Nov 24 16:06:03 redkite diald[366]: Running connector (pid = 379).
Nov 24 16:06:03 redkite diald[379]: Fatal signal 11, eip=0x40032299
Nov 24 16:06:03 redkite diald[379]: Diald is dieing with code 1
Nov 24 16:07:02 redkite diald[366]: Connect script timed out. Killing script.
Nov 24 16:07:02 redkite diald[366]: Sending SIGINT to (dis)connect process 379
Nov 24 16:07:02 redkite diald[366]: child process 379 terminated with signal 2
Nov 24 16:07:03 redkite diald[366]: Delaying 30 seconds before clear to dial.
Diald version is 0.98.0
pppd version is 2.3.5
/etc/diald.conf is:
mode ppp
connect /etc/diald/connect
device /dev/modem
speed 115200
modem
lock
crtscts
local 192.168.0.1
remote 192.168.0.2
dynamic
defaultroute
include /usr/lib/diald/standard.filter
/etc/ppp/options is empty
/etc/diald/connect is fairly much as standard - it works when used directly
with pppd.
diald.defs and standard.filter are unchanged.
I have spent two complete days trying everything that I can think of, but
nothing works...
Sorry if this has already been answered, but I am new to the list.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
James.
