Before going any further, please consider using the combined bridge + ebtables 
patch designed for 2.4.21 rather than using the old 2.4.19 one:

As the page says, this single patch replaces the previous pair of  
bridge-nf-x.x.x-against.... and ebtables patch...

There's little point in trying to diagnose already-defunct code :)
