Well,
Guess I lied. I rebooted the boxes again, loaded ATM and then did something
else for a minute. When I came back and pinged B from A, the same old pause
occured.
Ideas on how to fix this?
Jon

Welp,
I just fired up 2.4.0-test9, and the same thing happens. I've played with
the ATM on 2.4.0-testXX prviously, but I'd not attempted a routed network
connection through the ATM link before. Pinging the IP of the interfaces
themselves works as expected - immediate ping replies. It's only the first
attempt at banging at a routed network that exhibits this.
I tried ftping from box A to box B, here are the results from B. Note the
32s lag before the last packet.

16:37:37.087633 < 192.168.1.1.32769 > 10.4.99.2.ftp: . 1:1(0) ack 1 win

Another odd thing: I ran tcpdump on the atm0 interface on B, and pinged a
host on the routed network from A. After a number of seconds elapsed, the
dump came up on B showing echo requests and replies, but nothing showed on
A. Stopping the dump and repinging resulted in the 13s or so delay on A.
Weird.
Cheers!
Jon
