And where should be the root filesystem?  In flash as well?
Don't forget that XIP means everything is uncompressed, and 2MB of flash to 
hold both the uncompressed kernel and filesystem is... well... extremely 
tight.  With such limited memory you should probably consider something else 
than Linux.
