This is now a reversed test.
The more typical kernel style is:
fixup = search_exception_tables(regs->pc);
if (fixup) {

> newpc = fixup_exception(dpf_reg, fixup, regs->pc);

and it looks as if newpc is unnecessary. Maybe:
