we're doing what you want on our linux boxens. just install ucd-snmpd, its
@ http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net.
once snmp is installed (with proper securites), you can use MRTG or any
snmp polling software that you find fit.

=>Subject: Monitoring performance
=>
=>I am trying hard to find and install a package to be able to monitor a
=>few Linux servers for performance. I have to monitor memory, CPU load,
=>disk space and network interface load.
=>And i really HAVE to present graphs for these... Like one graph per day,
=>and then per week and per month. I couldn't find a software which does
=>all that in a coherent fashion. I tried MRTG and derivates ( e.g. snips)
=>but i find them too complex for what i actually need to do. Also, (much
=>to my despair) i found that winblows 2k system monitor does exactly what
=>i need, and exactly how i need it done, but i don't use winblows and i
=>can't use it to monitor linux boxes, even if i wanted to... Anyone
=>knows/uses a package like this on Linux? Or has any advice about
=>configuring e.g. snips or other package?
=>
=>PLEASE help, i need the work done, and i need it fast.
=>Any and all help greatly appreciated.
=>Thank you.
