hi folks..

i want to set up a DIP connection between two linux boxes using a telephone line. but \
i am having problem with the diphosts file... 

while running in the dial in mode, can anybody please tell me, the accounts in the \
diphosts file correspond to whom.. is it the user who is logging in or the user \
hosting the daemon...

also at what point of time does PPP come into the picture..and what is its fuunction. \


i am not able to recieve the call in the Dialin mode. the modem recieves the ring but \
how should i configure dip to recieve the call...
