Hello everyone!
	Just a quick note to bring you guys up to speed on some things that have 
been happening in parts of the Linux community that you may not be aware of. 
I stumbled onto a wonderful Linux site a while back (http://linux.nf) and 
found it immensely useful. I also found that most of the people who helped 
make that site were members of the Caldera mail list. I soon joined and have 
been growing in skills since. Recently, Caldera has become.. well... quite 
un-Linux-like. A lot of those "old hands" on the list started using other 
distros...
	In the meantime, the linux.nf site had some bandwidth issues, and I offered 
to turn my mirror of it into the real thing. I'm proud to say that I now host 
http://linux.nf.
	Between these two events, it became obvious to some of us that we needed to 
find a mail list other than Caldera's. We feared that eventually they were 
gonna get upset with us discussing their shortcomings and talking up other 
distros. So, I created linux-users@linux.nf. This list is 
distribution-agnostic. It has been created with the goals of being 
"accessible" to anyone (Windows converts to senior kernel hackers). Anything 
you can contribute at any level is welcome. As such, I'd like to personally 
extend an invitation for all of you to join the list. You may do so by
