You don't need to restart the sendmail daemon if you change a keyed
map ("db" or "dbm" files, referenced by a "K" directive in
sendmail.cf). Sendmail will automatically re-open the file if it
changes.

OTOH, you do need to restart it if you change a class file (plain
text, referenced by an "F" directive, e.g. sendmail.cw or
local-host-names).
