Hi,
I have a PowerEdge 1600 with 3x17Go disks connected as raid 5
Perc3/di controler no LVM, ext3 fs, redhat 8.0

Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 0.50 seconds =256.00 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.38 seconds = 46.38 MB/sec
I think it's not very good, I called dell support (in France) and they
didn't
found an answer about the poor performances.
