The full CMM-2 solution was considered too intrusive on the generic
Linux kernel source and was not accepted for inclusion.

What we have now is sometimes referred to as CMM-Lite (a subset of the
original CMM-2 code). Whether the remaining function still is
effective needs to be seen. It also depends a lot on the Linux
application configuration. Unfortunately it completely lacks
instrumentation, so the only evidence we've seen are lab experiments
specifically designed to demonstrate the function.
