I always "visualize" these as one command, as:

mkinitrd && zipl

This way, if mkinitrd is successful, then zipl runs immediately after, which
is what I want. If you start typing it in this way, you'll be less likely to
forget the second step.

Now, if I could just remember to do the first step....
