But configure and INSTALL.txt aren't in git.  They're created by autogen.sh.

Yeah, assuming internet access is not so nice.   README.git should at<br>
least contain enough information to get INSTALL.txt generated without<br>
needing online access, so that if you were to, hypothetically, get stuck<br>
on a desert island without an internet connection (but somehow still<br>
have your PC with you and a power source for it), you could in theory<br>
compile a fresh checkout of lilypond.<br>
