Eh, you don't need threads to use the (temporary) drum notation algorithm ( 
see /input/test/drums.ly ).
Imho the only problem with it is that it "feels" temporary. It is fully usable, 
and I cannot see how it should/could be done easier.
Please comment if you don't like it - sooner or later (probably the latter) I 
will try and make it permanent and before I do that I would ofcourse like 
comments.
