It's easy to test yourself, but the following file shows that it works
on 2.4.5.
\version "2.4.5"
{ c'4\< e' g'\f a' }
I'm certain that it also applies to 2.4.2
However, I'm not certain how to backport patches. I've fixed it in CVS
for 2.5.
