The problem is not that simple. the unresolved symboy ti__xxx error happens
when the daemon is compiled with -fno-rtti but the plugin not. 

there's a configure check if the compiler supports -fno-rtti. from your
description of the problem it seems to be that the configure check fails
when you give --with-spoofing, which doesn't make sense when you exclude
paranormal explanations. 

could you please take a look into config.cache at the line 

ac_cv_prog_cxx_fno_rtti=${ac_cv_prog_cxx_fno_rtti=yes}

does that value change to "...=no" when you use --with-spoofing? (rm
config.cache before rerun ./configure!!!). 

can you confirm that --with-spoofing does indeed toggle this variable?
