            Bug ID: 94654
Summary: Editing, Crash: Emacs style copy and paste, faulty
                    recovery
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 5.0.1.2 release
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: budmaddock at gmail.com

Emacs style, Mouse grab with right key, paste with middle key crashes
LibreOffice. This is inconvenient.
Critical:
Restart and accept offered recovery: Recovered document is several versions
older than the latest saved version.

Workaround, delete LibreOffice recovered version and reload the document from
the latest file saved. Detecting the erroniously recovered version is critical.

For those of us who go from Latex to LibreOffice it is a reflexive action to
copy, and paste in this manner, Each faulty recovery from a crash can take days
or more seriously go undetected.

If "updatedb" is slower than the user (debian) and if LibreOffice depends on
"locate" instead of "find" this could be the source of the problem.
