Thanks for that patch too.

I never loved autoconf but when we began with libftdi nothing better was 
available. Cmake now proved to be capable and more easy to work with. Here at 
Intra2net we configure all new developments with cmake. 

So we think about deprecating autoconf/automake for libftdi. I think we'll 
still keep it for a few releases but document that we prefer cmake. What do 
you think?
