I figured people might have their own private repos of syntax 
highlighting files not shared with Kate upstream (perhaps for testing, 
or for in-house projects that don't exist anywhere else). Hence, those 
syntax highlighting files might not be vetted for conformity to the 
relevant spec which would include a proper version string.
