because it's bad style to override the name, and because it helps recognize
builtins in code written by others.

if those others didn't override the names, this serves as reference code
(you know exactly what the builtins do)

as said above, recoginzing builtins is good for other reasons. recognizing
builtin exceptions are easier to recognize without since they mostly appear
in catch or raise/throw statements.
