Thanks for the reply.  There's a lot about the highlight files that confuse me.  \
Maybe someone can help with some more specific questions.  I want to add to the \
python script  all names following "class" are bold black and all names after "def" \
are bold green.  I don't mind if it's hardcoded into the file and can't be changed \
within kate.

Do I just add a context? How would I tell the context these conditions/what would the \
context look like?  Do I have to also make an entry for list and itemdatas?

Any help would be much appreciated
