Summary: Sort documents into folders within a session
Product: kate
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian stable
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: sessions
AssignedTo: kwrite-devel@kde.org
ReportedBy: marcos.carot@gmail.com
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux
It is quite unwieldy working on sessions with a large number of documents, many
of which may have the same filename eg index.php when working on a website with
various sub-folders. It would be very useful to be able to organise the
documents into accordion-like folders within a session, which expand and
collapse without having to navigate up and down folder trees - like the ability
to sort layers into folders that Photoshop has.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
I have not located an option to be able to sort the documents into folders,
only to have documents in one long list OR work on one at a time through the
Filesystem Browswer.
Actual Results:
All documents are shown in one long list.
Expected Results:
Allow documents in the Documents listing to be sorted into a folder that
expands and collapses when the folder is clicked, so that some documents can be
"hidden" from view without being removed from the session.
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-5-amd64
Compiler: cc
