I am experiencing this bug too. Note it's not restricted to drag/drop, anything
you can do with a selection you can do with your "nothingness":

- Deleting. If you manage to select "nothing" it just looks like the cursor is
at that position but if you press Delete/Backspace, nothing appears to happen.
- Commenting. If I press Ctrl+D, expecting the entire line to be commented
(`//` at the beginning), instead `/**/` is inserted.
